His name is Mikaela. The boy from his world, Alya, says he's a vampire, and that he needs blood to survive. From the way Alya spoke, I'm not certain animal blood will suffice, since the two options he mentioned were himself and his patron rather than finding animals from this realm for him. I can ask him to be certain, of course, and let you know immediately once I do.
At this point, we're assuming it's something that he'll regain eventually, but if possible, I'd like to have something prepared sooner rather than later. I don't know how much he'll require, nor how often, but I can see if Alya knows.
Interesting. Often, vampires are unable to feed from each other. In some instances they can only feed once from a person before causing them to turn. In those cases, they become a sort of plague, increasing their numbers with each feeding.

You would normally be right, but considering my knowledge of what the pill or tonic would be comprised of, I can promise in good faith that he wouldn't be harmed. Nothing would be included that is, to my knowledge, harmful for either humans or vampires, so he would simply not be affected at all.

They regularly apply a patch to their body to infuse themselves with a dose of nicotine, which is the addictive property in those consumables. In that way, they're able to regulate their body's craving for the drug in a harmless manner, as cigarettes and whatnot lead to various forms of cancer when partaken of.
